Blackberry Jam Sweet Rolls with Cream Cheese Frosting

As a food blogger, I find inspiration all over the place for new recipes.  This recipe was inspired by my absolute favorite sweet rolls from a local bakery that recently closed it's doors.  They had the best cinnamon rolls, orange rolls, raspberry rolls and blueberry rolls EVER.

I wanted a quick and easy recipe that can be made at home and satisfy that craving.  These rolls are SO delicious.  They are soft and chewy with a silky jam filling and are topped with a divine cream cheese frosting that you will want to eat by the spoonful.  I used blackberry jam, but you can use any flavor of jam you and your family prefer, store-bought or homemade.

The flavor is amazing and they are so easy to make.  Whether you eat them for breakfast or serve them as dessert, they will be a crowd pleaser.
Roll out the thawed loaf of bread and spread jam over the top.
Roll up as tightly as possible.  It might get a little messy, but that's okay, it won't matter once they are smothered in frosting.   Cut into 8 rolls and place in a greased 8x8-inch casserole dish.  Cover with plastic wrap and allow to rise until doubled.
Bake in preheated oven until golden brown.
Cool slightly and spread cream cheese frosting over the top.

  2. Oh my goodness! In a few weeks we will go pick our annual strawberry haul so we can make jam for the year. I'll be picking extra so we have enough to use for these. Thank you!

    1. Yes!! They would be so yummy with strawberry jam. Homemade strawberry jam is my fave. P.S. I just picked up a new jar of cookie butter at Trader Joes, so I will be making cookie butter bars again. I still haven't forgotten that I needed to re-test them again, I'm just really slow at getting that done. Sorry.
